Scott Snyder and Jock have released the first issue of Wytches online for free, if you didn't catch that from the title.
Wytches is a story about, well, witches, but with a Y. In this story, Sailor and her father Charlie have some unpleasant encounters in a town where people pledge others to the Wytches in the woods. It's a frightening look at the difficulties of parenting, as well as the pressure put upon children by peers, school, and family.
The duo recently wrapped up their stunning first arc, for which the trade will be available June 24th. You can get it on Amazon, sure, but I highly recommend going to your local comic book shop. Don't know where one is? Now ya do.
The art is unsettling, Snyder's script is spot on (he's currently writing Batman, and has plenty of other books out), and the essays in the back, especially the first one, are incredibly important to get the full scope of the book. The first issue is disturbing, but Snyder's essay hammered down the terrifying thought of something waiting for you. Just, waiting.
Read the first issue.
Then buy the trade.
Then read all his other stuff.
